How it started ....

They say in the beginning, there was nothing.

Excuse me, in the beginning there was only Silvain and that means a whole lot. Silvain is responsible for the revival of Scherpenheuvel soccer scene. At the first day, he gathered his family around him and he started with Rapido, a team that was the terror of the whole environment. Like a real guru, Silvain coached his family from one victory to the other. As the goalkeeper of the team, he was moreover like an untakeable fortress. The team was a splendid comet in the dark sky and from far and near, young promising players presented their duties to Silvain, who saw that everything was fine.

But the founding father became a year older, his reflexes as a keeper became slower and his insight in the game as a coach became less accurate. What's more, his players became more and more ambitious and the first split was a fact. The 'Judas of the team', Johan ., founded "Ademnood" , a teamname that stands for his most striking soccerquality. During a few years, peace returned and players of "Rapido" and "Ademnood" played together in complete harmony. In the Scherpenheuvel league the teams obtained many marvellous victories and a lot of prices.

But desire to the stardom is a dangerous poison and in the first months of this year plans were made to set the big step to the Royal Belgian Indoor Soccer league. Again, it was Johan who convinced a few of his teammates to drop Silvain and let the dream come through. Even better players were recruited under the disciples of Baden Powel, a direction committee saw the light and the rising star, trainer Peter, was given a heavy contract. Because every child needs a name, ZVC The Scherpschutters was chosen as a pearl of language virtuosity.

Silvain shaked his head but he knew that once he will be given a place in the hall of fame of Belgian soccer.

Two years everybody could follow our adventures in our first competition
year and notice that it wasn't so bad at all. Most of the the time, the
Scherpschutters were glittering at the very top of the league table but a
lot of injuries, a few problems with our friends of Schaarbeek and a
deserting president costed us the title at the last competition day.

The second year we relegated after a second place in the Championship thanks to a successfull transfer policy It was again a year with a lot of surprises (forfaits , team that turned out to be a reserve team , ...) but at the end there were even two other teams besides us who were allowed to play a division higher .

This year everything will be again a big surprise ... A few old glories who return, a lot of new competitiors and instead of looking to the top of the league table we will have to look also to the bottom of the league table. After a year without trainer the management did a big effort in getting Peter back from Australia.
