Truly marvelous work! () Certainly one of the more inventive shows i've heard.

Vik's Lounge Of Self Indulgance)

Every month, Radio Vik features 30 minutes from a radio show somewhere on this swinging planet. Vik has made the wildly eccentric "Fantastica" the first Radio Vik Global Radio. A show that must be experienced to be appreciated. The response was so fabulous to the first Radio Vik with Johan's swell "Fantastica" that Vik decided to present another show (#12)!

I LOVE the tape. () It's a little different from our show, but different is GOOD!
(Peter Ledebur, "Music for Better Living")

I was amazed at the way you wove such a rich sound tapestry [and] truly gobsmacked at the amount of cheesy central European nonsense - so that's what it's like to live in Belgium!
(Robbie Baldock,
Spaced Out - the Enoch Light WWW Site
& "Space Safari")

wacky! () I've been enjoying your show tremendously
(The Millionaire, Combustible Edison)

fab, moody stuff... radio you can see! I loved how you dropped "Close Your Eyes" into the James Bond soundscape... great intro too by Sean... let's go a bit deeper. Crazysexycool!
(Lloyd Kandell, Don Tiki - talking about the "Goldfinger" episode)

The AMAZING thing about the Fantastica programs is the fact that he edits them all onMinidisk. This digital recording device does not have the capability of mixing sound (fading from source to another) All of his edits are "hard" edits where one source ends abruptly and another begins. The minidisk has rather limited capabilities to do this, and it can be rather tedious getting the cuts just right, but he is a MASTER at making it all flow together like one big-ass sound collage.

I'm crazy about those tapes, just crazy about them. I love your tapes, because the music is new to me and they're done with such skill and wit. While listening, I laugh and laugh, because they're funny and they give me so much pleasure. Radio Scorpio listeners are lucky to have Fantastica.

GREAT JOB!
(Gregg Wolfe, Swanktown radio)

THe Cd is awesome. Great packaging and liner notes. Ive never heard or heard of most of the stuff on it, quite amazing.
(jonathan, the Sound Lounge - talking about episode # 12)

This show is a masterwork. A joy from start to finish. I tip a virtual fez to you.
(Brian Phillips talking about episode #37)

I've been getting a few of these [Fantastica episodes on CD-R] over the past months and have *really* been enjoying them. The shows are very interesting with a balanced amount of "goofy" songs (sometimes judiciously cut very short before the joke has a chance to wear too thin.......) and juicy cuts. The "extras" after the show are also great - I loved the stuff tacked onto the end of Mannekin Pis. Great job!!! [...] Man, where the hell do you find all of this stuff?? That's another thing that makes your comps so interesting. [about episode # 9, Beatles Exotica 1]

Happy holidays from sunny California, and thank you so very, very much for putting together (and sharing online) that amazing "Christ...What a Mess" collection! It is awesome in the true sense of the word, and I have already spread the word via email to others who I think might enjoy it. I have heard so much odd or bad Christmas music, but this really takes the cake. The only thing that I can think of that comes close is Dana Countryman's "The Worst of Christmas" tape that he made for friends a few years ago. Thanks again so much! (Tom Rombouts, december 2002)
