The cattery was originally founded in the city of Mechelen in 1996.
In November 1998 the cattery moved to a charming country-house in Nieuwkerke,
at 3 kms. of the French border.
Nieuwkerke is a small village among the Flemish
hills in the region of Heuvelland (near Ypres). This region is also
called the "Flanders' Fields", in memory of the battles
that were fought here during the First World-War.
