UNCONSCIOUS
PRECOGNITION
Is
intuition more than a reflex?
Some
people say that they sometimes have a foreboding which seems to come
true. Radin and Bierman conducted in 1995, 1996 and 1997 experiments
which proved the existence of true foreboding. Both
researchers independently organized very similar experiments. During
the whole experiment the subjects were watching a screen whereon randomly
neutral (calm) or extreme (emotional) pictures were shown. The Galvanic
skin reaction was during the experiment measured by electrodes on the
skin of the subjects (GSR). The activity increased significant in intensity
when an extreme picture was showed (see figure). Most interesting was
that the differences in skin activity were already detectable 5 seconds
before the picture was shown. The effect was also measurable
by experiments where the subjects weren't informed of the presence of
extreme pictures. Furthermore, the experiment seems very repeatable
and the results also seem to show psychological tendencies (e.g. differences
between men and women). Bierman concludes that the intuition seemingly
has a knowledge of the future (unconscious precognition) and that it
could explain why the subjects reacted before the stimuli where shown.
