Five young jazz musicians who, nowadays, are active on the Brussels, Ghent, and Antwerp jazz scene, recently met to blow a fresh breeze through the old jazz repertoire. They feed it with compositions of their own, that create a lot of opportunity for sound, style, and variation.

They're inspired by music of a.o. Mark Turner, Dré Pallemaerts, Bill Carrothers, Branford Marsalis, Jim Black, ...

Peter Delannoye trombone is, together with  partner in crime Toni Vitacolonna  drums the initiator of this project. Peter drags his brother, saxo Steven Delannoye, along which makes this wind section unique in Belgium! Janos Bruneel, one of Flanders young prides on bass, has rich ideas, and embraces a steady intonation and a refined tone. Piano player, Christian Mendoza, with his unique style of performance already enjoyed a lot of admiration from audiencer and musicians.

TAO Quartet

Tao : l équilibre entre le ying et le yang entre la folie et la sagesse, entre le paradis et l enfer, entre féminin et masculin, entre le noir et le blanc entre le bien et le mal, entre l ancrage et le lacher prise, entre la terre et le ciel, entre la déstruction et la construction.
