| Joseph Laloux was born at Jambes on
29 December 1921. Engaged into the Belgian Forces of Great
Britain on 23 December 1940. Transfered to Belgian Section of
the RAF on 7 August 1941. Joined 609 Sqn on 25 September 1941
for non flying duty. Send for training to: RAF Depot Regent's
Park (17 November 1941), 5 ITW (8 December 1941), 10 EFTS as
Leading Aircraftman (4 April 1942), RAF Depot Wolverhampton (8
July 1942), 22 SFTS (22 July 1942), promoted Sergeant on 6
January 1942 and send to 58 OTU on 12 January 1943. Posted into
350 Sqn on
21 March 1943. Promoted Flight Sergeant on 6 January 1944.
Commisioned Warrant Officer on 6 January 1945. Bailed out and
made POW after being hit by flak on an Armed Recce on 11
February 1945. Joined the Belgian Air Force. | |
