ANN SPEYBROUCK

Human beings are the principal topic of Ann Speybrouck’s work.  In her current artworks she forms human figures using rather capricious lines.  The beholder may think of slim Berber men and women, who clad in long garments moving through a vague but warm pattern.  By using her typical colour palette the artist lets the viewer experience a virtual intimate world.

The artist uses mixed media treating wooden panels or canvas with sand to which she applies coloured spots and lines.  Once completed, the artworks exude peace and harmony for the sensual delights of the beholder.
