evaluation of
this combination:
Uwvenus had been inseminated before twice,
but always stayed empty with both males - so Ursus was the last
chance and they mated without any problems so this was already a
good start!
By using Ursus, we wanted to keep the type and character of
Quanda ex Domo Leonis for her breeder and J. Müller regained the
two female German bloodlines from wich she started years ago with
addition of the East-German lines via Ursus and French-Suiss
lines via Uwvenus.
Also in this combination Ursus corrigated 100 % the masks and
pigmentation and he added very thick coat. All the pups were
strong builded with very strong bone. Jutta kept Yezabel but the
choice between Yayakhyara and Yrcan was very difficult. Yournicky
was very high on her legs and with an other head-type (french
lines of Uwvenus). All the characters where very soft - the most
dominant was Yrcan: a dog to work with. The pups left before they
were 8 weeks old: 3/4 males had their 2 testicules and Pinky one
on his place.
Colours: Uwvenus comes out of a very clear litter, even more
sand-colour, with a lot of black and big white spots - she is the
most red one. I think Ursus couldn't corrigate that completely: 2
or 3 pups will be or very clear or very dark I'm afraid and
nearly all had white spots.
At 1,5 year they all have a complete scissor-bite - Pinky is still missing 1 testicule and has 1 P1 double. Yrcan was corrigated from entropion at 6-7 months. The head-type of 3 pups is a mix between both parents - the other 4 have the strong head of Ursus.
2001 : Yellow and Yezabel were X-rayed - hips seemed good - we got the official result. Yellow is HD-A and Yezabel HD-B.
