The new Westhoek cycling network offers you more than 1000 km of cycling fun on quiet country lanes and brings you to the most beautiful spots of the area. The numbered junctions have signposts that lead you to the next junctions.

Using the network map you can compose your own route, with a length as desired and in any direction you choose.

B&B Haere Mai is located between junction 4, 5 and 99, and only 3 km from junction number 1 in Kemmel.

The fully signposted cycle circuits take you to the nicest spots of Heuvelland and the surrounding area. We have detailed maps with route descriptions of all circuits.

Westvlaamse Bergen route (45 km circuit) (Flemish hill route) connects the eight villages of Heuvelland and passes by our street

Schreve route (46 km circuit) (Border route) on both sides of the French-Belgian border

Vredes route (45 km circuit) (Peace route) along the war memorials and war graves of the Ypres Salient

Fleterna route (46 km) through the hop fields of Poperinge

mountainbike circuits

In the regional landscape of the Flemish Hills eight mountainbike circuits have been signposted, with a total distance of 277 km : six in Flanders, two in France. The circuits of varying length and difficulty can be combined and are practicable all year round. Steep gradients and muddy stretches in wet weather only add to the fun.
Use the map with all the routes to pick the most interesting tracks and compose your own circuit.

long distance cycle route LF6

The long distance cycle route LF6 goes right through Heuvelland and is a part of the 800 km long "Vlaanderen Fietsroute", Flanders cycle route. The route is completely signposted in two directions.

B&B Haere Mai is only 1 km away from the LF6 and a perfect place to stop for a good night's sleep. A hearty breakfast will fill your legs with new energy for the road ahead.
