Belgian Aviation History Library

Welcome to the Belgian Aviation Heritage Library,

We are a group of friends active in many aviation groups (BAMRS, BAMF, AELR, Fonds National Alfred Renard).

Since 2003, we united our efforts to preserve and share by digital methods pictures and documents about aviation history in Belgium.

Thanks to the BAMF, we received first quality hardware and support to start scanning and catalogue collections of pictures and drawings some peoples loan or give to us.

WE ARE NOT IN THE BUSINESS, WE DO NOT SALE ANYTHING. We just try to collect, describe, preserve photographic witnesses of our rich aviation history.

After more than one year of operation, we start now to put at disposal of historians and individuals for study, personal projects, publication of books or papers on aviation in Belgium the documents we can collect.

We are also always interested in receiving pictures to preserve these documents.

You can loan us pictures for copying and we will give you back your documents after processing.
You can give us the pictures. They will be included in our collections under the name of the donator.

In both case, you will receive a copy of your documents on a CD-ROM.

We keep, of course, the right to not copy your material if not related to aviation or if the material is by evidence under copyright.

Last news : On March 13^th, 2007 the Bahl was recognised as a section of AELR association by the board of directors.

Copyright notice : The pictures we process are from private collections. We try as much as possible to track the holders of the copyrights if still applicable. If we suspects the pictures are from copyrighted sources (For example Flight International) we do not process the pictures. If ever, you are the owner of the copyrights of one of our pictures and you can produce the original negatives, we will of course delete your pictures.

	8th Jan 2006	Jero Nr1 During Many years, the scale model of the Jero Nr 1, the first aircraft build by the Bollekens was in storage. In 2005, the model was used for the 150 years of mobility in Belgium. During the exhibition a new display was build thanks to the help of Etienne, David, Bruno, Vincent and Christian. This is now included in the Pionners display starting with the first flight in Belgium, including the HF20 and the Battaille triplane. The model is back on Saturday January 7th at the Museum on Dispay near the Farman MF 11. We are still working to prepare the Aviatic de course model for display in the same aera and a Le Rhone engine will be soon installed near the HF20.

	25th Sep 2005	Day to Day : KZ III on the move With the arrival of the Agusta Helicopter, the Museum asked us to find a definite solution to display the KZ III to have room to display at her best advantage the A-109. We proposed a new location near the other light civilian aircraft. The proposal received agrement from the Museum. This Saturday 24 September the whole team dismantled the KZ and moved to the new location.
