Dr. Andy Verkeyn |
I was born on March, 31th, 1975 in Roeselare (Belgium). I obtained a M.Sc. in Computer Science and a Qualified Teacher's Degree for Secondary Eduction (section 2) in Computer Science from the Ghent University (Belgium) in 1997 and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Ghent University (Belgium) in 2004. From 1998 till 2004 I have worked as a teaching assistant and a doctoral researcher at the department of Information Technology of the Ghent University. I have (co-)authored about 26 papers including 4 papers in international journals and 4 chapters in books, mainly in the area of applications of fuzzy set theory to the modeling of environmental annoyance, especially noise annoyance. |
