I was born on March, 31th, 1975 in Roeselare (Belgium). After secondary education, I obtained a M.Sc. in Computer Science and a Qualified Teacher's Degree for Secondary Eduction (section 2) in Computer Science from the Ghent University (Belgium) in 1997 and a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Ghent University (Belgium) in 2004.

From 1997 till 2004, I have worked as a teaching assistant and doctoral researcher at the department of Information Technology, Ghent University. From 2004 till 2008, I was employed at Devoteam (former Guidance) where I was responsible for teaching courses on Java and Object Oriented analysis and design, and I also worked as a business analist in consultancy projects.

Since 2008, I am employed at Fluxys as a Software Engineer Special Engines where I'm responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, testing and documentation of the core applications within Fluxys.

I also hold industry certifications on software analysis and design, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) for Analyzing Requirements and Designing .NET Solution Architectures, and implementation, Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP), Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD) and Sun Certified Business Component Developer (SCBCD).
