Up (Execution Style)» is the first studio visit of this Norwegian
foursome that tries to impose its music and shows the world that Norway
has something else to unleash than black metal. They describe their
sound as hard, brutal and extreme music. For my opinion, Second Shadow
deliver what you may regard as rhythmic death metal mixed with death
core ultra low vocal works and tons of elements of Scandinavian death
thrash metal. «Line Up (Execution Style)» is in fact a very
easy demo to listen to and it’s certainly not all out extreme
or even brutal, more sort of easy listening nowadays death metal with
metal core and thrash metal elements: the sort of music that would delight
nowadays death metal listeners as this is melodic enough to be easily
accessible and still violent enough to encourage people to listen to.
In short, a good first work from an obviously talented act but don’t
already expect something really extreme nor really original.
