Those aussie veterans have surprised me much with their new album. From what I can remember, when I saw them live some 4 or 5 years ago, their show was entertaining but it was Punk Rock with nothing really exciting enough to push me buy their records.
This one alternates energetic tunes sometimes reminiscent of THE RAMONES with a melodic voice, with harder tunes of Punk 'n Roll that really kick ass, especially the brilliant "Punk Police". The weird thing is the balance between melodic vocals and very aggressive sometimes screamy or even Death metal ("Cats Got Your Tongue") voice.
I admit some of the softest, most melodic tunes sometimes bored me, but I really appreciate the variation and there are some outstanding tunes here. I don't know of many Punk Rock bands that release such albums after over 20 years of existence!
