De "Bermudadriehoek" is een denkbeeldige driehoek tussen Miami (Florida), de Bermuda eilanden en Puerto Rico. Er wordt gezegd dat in dit gebied abnormaal veel scheeps- en vliegtuigrampen en verdwijningen gebeuren.

The "Bermuda Triangle", also known as the Devil's Triangle, is a region of the northwestern Atlantic Ocean in which a number of aircraft and surface vessels have disappeared in what are said to be circumstances that fall beyond the boundaries of human error or acts of nature. Some of these disappearances have been attributed to the paranormal, a suspension of the laws of physics, or activity by extraterrestrial beings by popular culture

Das "Bermudadreieck", auch Teufelsdreieck genannt, ist die inoffizielle Bezeichnung eines Seegebietes, das sich im westlichen Atlantik nördlich der Karibik befindet und durch zahlreiche, zum Teil ungeklärte Vorfälle bekannt wurde, bei denen Schiffe, Flugzeuge oder ihre Besatzungen spurlos verschwunden sein sollen.

The Legend of Atlantis  When one searches the Internet for "Atlantis", one finds that it is devoid of good information on the subject. Through interactive tools, we take visitors to our site through the city of Atlantis as described by Plato, giving details on the legend. The relevant works of Plato are available through the site. We explore these works and delve into the clues which they leave for archaeologists and historians. The city of Troy was once considered purely myth; we know now that the myth was based in fact. Therefore, we explain several popular theories concerning the reality of Atlantis We explain the archaeological method. Our goals are that the users of our site develop an ability to be able to judge the different theories as to where Atlantis might be, being well informed in the legend and instructed in the archaeological basics. "Atlantis" Mythe of Werkelijkheid: is een hypothetisch eilandenrijk waarvan men niet weet of het ooit heeft bestaan. Door een catastrofe zou het rijk plotseling zijn verdwenen. De Atlantische oceaan dankt zijn naam aan dit hypothetische gebied.

Volgens de overlevering leefden de bewoners van Atlantis in een gouden tijd. Ze waren begaafde zeelieden die een rijke zeevloot bezaten. Verder zouden ze een grote kennis hebben gehad van onder andere: de astronomie, bouwkunst en wiskunde. De bewoners van Atlantis zouden verbonden geweest zijn aan de goden: de Atlantiërs moesten haar wetten volgen.

Onderwaterarcheologie is deeldiscipline van de archeologie dat zich uitsluitend bezighoudt met de bestudering van materiële overblijfselen die zich onder het wateroppervlak bevinden. Het is een aparte discipline omdat de ontgravingstechniek zeer specialistisch is.

Underwater archaeology is the study of past human life, behaviours and cultures using the physical remains found in salt or fresh water or buried beneath water-logged sediment[1]. It is most often considered as a branch of maritime archaeology.

Die Unterwasserarchäologie beschäftigt sich mit allen archäologischen Quellen, die unter Wasserbedeckung erhalten geblieben sind. Diese Quellen finden sich auf dem Grund von Meeren und Seen, Brunnen, aber auch in Mooren. Für die ufernahen Bereiche Nordeuropas liegt die Bedeutung dieser Sparte in den nacheiszeitichen Entwicklungen, die durch den Meerwasseranstieg (gebietsweise mehr als 100 m) und die Landhegung ehemalige festländische Siedlungen, besonders aus mesolithischer Zeit unter die heutigen Wasserlinien verbracht hat.

Het runenschrift (kortweg runen) of futhark is het oudst bekende schrift dat in Germaanse landen werd gebruikt; het bestaat uit letters samengesteld uit meestal rechte en hoekige lijnen die gemakkelijk in steen of hout kunnen worden gekrast. Bij gebruik op metaal werden ook wel ronde vormen gebruikt.

U krijgt in streaming audio en video een Engelstalige uitleg van de verschillende kunstobjecten en de versieringen die aangebracht worden. Hoe de reconstructie uitgevoerd werd van het gezicht dat onder het dodenmasker van Toetanchamon rustte, kan ook on line gevolgd worden.

Spijkerschrift -  Hiërogliefen werden in het verleden als alfabetische letters gebruikt. Daarom is het mogelijk jouw naam in hiërogliefen te spellen. Kijk hier hoe dat er uit ziet.
