he Amiga computer was a definite must for game players and artists. I was both. Well at least
I spent a lot of time playing and drawing on my Amiga. ;o) So during that
period most of my pictures were inspired by computer games. You have been warned !
For your convenience, I have enlarged all pictures.

I was deeply moved by the Shadow of the Beast games. This strange
and wild landscape was inspired by them, although you may find some Chinese
touches too. |

Here is an alternate Psygnosis logo. Using the Amiga high resolution really
enhanced its look. Keep in mind that this picture only uses 16 colors! A lot of
dithering did the trick. The original is available here. |

This picture contains a hidden word (although it can easily be noticed
on the thumbnail). I like the Arabian style of the windows and the strange
landscape behind. |

This logo was taken from a game advert in a magazine. The original is

This one made me sweat ! It's a personal interpretation of a
Rodney Matthews illustration (also called Fortress,
I guess). I used a difficult mode called Halfbright,
allowing you to choose a palette of 32 colors, and automatically generating a second
palette with darker colors. |

My vision of the final screen of a potential sequel to the game Unreal
from Ordilogic (not the one on PC, you stupid). Great sound and graphics. |

An inter-level screen for the same game. Have a look at the original here. |

Another possible final screen for Unreal. The original was drawn using the
dreaded HAM mode. Have a look at it here. |

An orbiting asteroid transformed into a space city. Nice effects on
stars and sun. |

This one and the following were designed so that they would become the
background pictures of a platform game. They fit with the built-in Amiga
scrolling routines (monochrome static, half speed 4 colors, with copper effects).
They are colorful, but their purpose was not to get too visible so that the player
could concentrate on the foreground where the action was taking place. |
