Newstar's lifemate - Lutei

Finally he has been given a name! Thanks to the thread of 'Ask Elfmom' on elfquest.com, elfmom (and Newstar herself) was so kind to answer the question; 'who was Newstar's Lifemate?'

And this was the answer!


Okay, this question is for Newstar: Who is Kimo's father? We never got to see him, but, we're all very curious to know who he is and what he was like?

A - Newstar replies: His name is Lutei. In his skin-time he liked to work hard...to break the ground and make things grow. He took to being a Jack-Wolfrider even as I took to the ways of the Sun Village. He favored the color "red." I was one of many to him, and he to me, even as we crossed the desert to aid our kindred when Blue Mountain fell. To our surprise, Recognition stole upon us, long after, in the midst of a casual "dance" (note: she giggles).

The battle ended his life. But his spirit has never left me or Kimo... through the "Long Sleep"...and often, now, for many quiet days of sitting still in the Palace we are together...a family.

Well I needed a face for Lutei for my calendar entry, so I e-mailed to Mr. Richard Pini if this could be the guy.
This is what Mr. Pini answered by e-mail on 2 oct 06:
'Hi - this is a fine interpretation, go with it, and good luck with the calendar.'
