Hiking through Jasper National Park

When we arrive at Jasper city, we still have some days to pass before we have our plane back to Schiphol. This is not really a problem since there are a lot of interesting things to in this place.

On the way back from North Boundary Trail, the driver of the transport company advices us to take some lessons of fly fishing. We make a reservation for one afternoon of fishing.
First, we go a local airport for small airplanes. There, we have all the place to kill each other with flying lines and hooks. Apparently, this sport is not as easy at it looks.
After one hour of throwing and making nods, our guid decides it is safe enough to do it with sharp hooks. For reasons of safety, cowboy Bart gets an appropriate hat. In spite of our natural skills, we don't catch any kind of white fish.

After an afternoon of fishing, it is time to do some real sport. In the centre of the city, there are different places to rent mountainbikes. In the local tourist information centre, different maps are available with nice mountainbike trails. We chose to make some trips southern of Jasper city. Four nice lakes are situated there. Again, we only see a few people on our bike trails. The lakes are very quiet and we can hear mooses all around, but we don't see one.
