The JG300
“Wild Sau” (loosely translated, “Wild Boar”) group is a Virtual Squadron of
closely-knit and good-natured, talented, dedicated, bloodthirsty and even
somewhat malodorous individuals who participate in online virtual air combat
using Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3. We’ve been active since shortly
after the release of CFS3 and have been slowly growing stronger ever since
thanks to our great luck in finding dedicated, mature and talented pilots!
While our
group is, by design, focused on air combat tactics and aircraft as used by the
Luftwaffe in WWII, we primarily center on having fun when
mixing it up with other organized CFS3 squads and solo players alike. Our main
aircraft of choice is the stock CFS3 Messerschmidt Bf109G-10 and other German
planes such as the Me110 “Zerstorer”, but we also enjoy using various other
aircraft – including some allied planes too - in various games and events among
the CFS3 online Multiplayer community. Like some other squads, we also consider
ourselves the all-around fun guys and jokesters of CFS3, and do our best to live
up to that reputation!
We are also
very pleased that we ‘Wild Saunen’ enjoy a healthy and competitive relationship
with such other notable CFS3 squadrons and organizations as:
-
IMS “Iron Mule Squadron”
- F.O.E.
- STS
-
JAGD
-
BM357 “Blazing Magnums”
Forming an Axis-oriented squadron does have its challenges. Many people
feel the aircraft are a bit more difficult to fly, and in some ways they do
require a bit of effort to gain maximum effectiveness. However, once the
necessary techniques are mastered they are extremely competitive. And if
the going ever gets rough, we can call upon these words that have been with our
squad since the beginning:
"Only the spirit of
attack, born in a brave heart,
will overcome the odds."
- Erich Hartmann
