On this page you'll find out how to build a setup program for your delphi™ application.Delphi™ comes with installshield express a reduced version of installshield the world leader for building a setup program for your software.But i searched the internet and i found one program and i am 100% sure of it this program will beat many commercial installers and it's freeware .This program is called innosetup and is so easy to use.In the following screenshot you'll see the installation script for my program texteditor

So how do u use this program ? verry simple when you run the program it asks you if you want to create a new installation script.You have two options an empty installation script where you write the source code manually or you can use the script wizard.This wizard will generate a complete installation script for you in the screenshot below you can see what i mean

Follow the steps of the wizard text that has a bold fontstyle is requirerd when you are done innosetup asks you if you want to compile you select no because the script file must be saved first.You save it with projectname.iis en then you click the compile TToolButton.You can follow the compiler progress in the output window at the bottom if the compile was succsesfull it will show you this messagebox

Click yes to test the setup program you just builded and you see the setup program in action.Innosetup also included an uninstall option you can select that in the script wizard.The actual setup program and how it looks is operating system dependent i use windows® 2000 professional so it has a typical wizard style interface you can see it below.
