The various fabric-covered
items were checked and a broken windscreen replaced.
In the meantime, a
museum staff member refurbished the engine in working order.
Seem simple, but all
that work took one year to complete.
Epilogue
In 1994, the
preparation work was completed and the aircraft ready to be exchanged.
All the parts were
packed and it was up to the Air Force to transport it to its new home.
Today, you can have a
look at the result of this work: a nice Yak 11 in Czechoslovakian marking
is now standing in the Hall of the museum.
